BluePrints for Business in the News!
In an earlier BLOG I announced our BIG (business improvement grant) program for local non-profits and small businesses. Thus far we have awarded grants totaling $170,000.
Our commitment to the community and the BIG program have not gone un-noticed. BluePrints for Business was discussed in feature articles this week in the Laurel of Asheville (page 97) and The Asheville Tribune (page 4). Other grant recipients include The Asheville Home Builders Association, The New Life Journal and pending grants with two local arts foundations.
If you know of a worthy non-profit or small business in the Asheville area please let me know.
Don't forget to check back soon for Part II of the Navigating the Current Economy series.

You mentioned grants for profit and non-profit groups. One type of program we operate(for profit)are partnerships with non-profits that help children with learning disabilities. Another we are planning is helping Veterans, Firefighters, Law Enforcement with PTSD.
Are there specific kinds of projects you fund?

We are open to supporting all types of organizations. Our business improvement grants are in-kind services grants, not cash. We have found that we can make a bigger impact on an organization providing resources and capabilities outside of the ability to afford or facilitate internally. Please feel free to send me more information on your organization to tim.barrett@blueprintsforbiz.com.
